The Ultimate Guide on Creating a Chemical-Free Natural Skin Care Routine

With maintaining a long list of to- do chores and busy schedules, most of us may skip on self- care altogether. Add to it the negative effects of chemical- laden products on the skin and we are already overwhelmed by the skincare routine even before we set it.

A skincare routine introduces your skin to healthier regeneration and a lot of TLC. And the best way to build a skincare routine is by ditching the chemicals and opting for the best of natural ingredients you and I can find easily in our kitchens.

We have made a list of everything you need to build your chemical- free natural skincare routine, natural ingredients to go grab, and the benefits to go all natural.

Before beginning a skincare routine, you should know the correct order of following a routine. Yes there is one.

With skincare routine, order is everything and the general order is as follows:

  1. Cleanser
  2. Toner
  3. Serum
  4. Moisturiser
  5. Sunscreen

Cleanser:

At the heart of the face care routine lies the benefits of using the correct cleanser. Everyday, our skin is filled with debris, dirt, oil, bacteria, environmental pollution etc. It is important to get rid of these gunk by washing our face thoroughly with a gentle cleanser at least twice a day.

Look for paraben free face wash or the ingredients that are loaded with benefits of coconut oil. Coconut oil is antifungal, anti-bacterial, and loaded with fatty chain acids that hydrates your skin from within and keeps your skin plum. If you are looking for an all- natural facial cleanser, we suggest you try Coco Soul’s natural face cleanser with the goodness of virgin king coconut oil. This face wash penetrates layers deep into your skin to give you glowing face with every wash.

Toner:

No matter how much the urge, never skip using a toner into your skincare routine. Facial toner is one of the best products that can keep your skin refreshed by maintaining its pH balance post a  facial cleanser. Facial toner can also minimise your pores and keep your skin hydrated and dewy.

Look for toner with ingredients such as rose water, tea tree oil, witch hazel and aloe vera. You can also make your own toner by adding rose petals to tap water and sprtizing it regularly before you move on with the next skincare step.

Moisturiser:

Your entire skin care depends on how well your skin is moisturised. Well- moisturised skin does not only keep your skin hydrated and looking healthy but also acts as a base to a very good makeup. Regular use of moisturiser can prevent early signs of ageing, fine lines, and wrinkles.

Look for a moisturiser loaded with benefits of shea butter, coconut oil or olive oil. These ingredients are filled with vitamins to keep your skin looking supple and glowing all day long.

Sunscreen:

From your dermatologist to your makeup guru all will agree with the importance of applying sunscreen every single day. A natural sunscreen before you head out or while snuggling on your couch can protect your skin from harsh UV rays and its negative effects.

Look for sunscreen with natural SPFs and apply it thoroughly at least 1 hour prior to stepping in the sun.

Now that you have the basics of using a natural skincare routine, go make the most of switching up to all natural.
